NY Mets: Several Players Who Are Exceeding Expectations This Month

The third place, 10-8 .556 New York Mets are having an incredible season so far. Many players are doing a phenomenal job offensively and the starting pitching is doing the maximum, going above and beyond. Several players are exceedingly expectations this April. I want to explain who.

Earlier in the month, I wrote how Brett Baty, Third Baseman, would be the expected breakout candidate of April. Click the link on See it Here.

It’s safe to say, I was completely right. This article shows how Baty has gotten the job done.

Stars such as Pete Alonso and Fransisco Alvarez are doing an amazing job as well. Alonso, 29, has 6 home runs, 10 RBIs and is batting .261 with a .354 OBP.

It’s important to keep in mind that the pitching has also exceeded expectations. Luis Severino and Jose Buttó are doing a phenomenal job. Butto is 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA. To say he’s done great would simply be an understatement. He’s done fantastic, perhaps spectacular.

This means great things for the Mets. In the grand scheme of it all, when several players do better than expected, your entire outlook improves dramatically. The Mets look great and it should be an exciting year in Flushing Queens.
