The 2024 New York Mets have had quite an up and down, rollercoaster of a season thus far. With a third place, .517, 15-14 record, and a horrendous start, there’s been good and bad times alike. The offense has been great, the pitching miraculously strong.
Stars such as Pete Alonso and Brett Baty have come up big, Baty looks sharp thus far with 1 home run, 9 RBIs, batting .253 with a .319 OBP.
Alonso, 29, hit his 200th career home run, as mentioned here, the 200th home run of his career came against the St Louis Cardinals recently.
I could talk about the offense all day, I really could. So enough about that.
I present to you all, the 2024 Mets starting pitching rotation stars.
Luis Severino, Sean Manaea and Reed Garrett both have shone bright, Garrett with a 5-0 record and an 0.61 ERA, and Severino bouncing back from injury last season with the New York Yankees. Severino is dazzling with a 2-2 record and a 2.31 ERA.
Nobody expected this of these guys coming into the 2024 season.
This isn’t Fios, this is way bigger than that. To overcome adversity in the toughest city perhaps ever, they deserve all good things possible. Not every ballplayer can make it here in Queens.
These players have earned their respect. This is indeed a job well done by all 3.
