The New York Mets have gone through a lot of worry and speculation when it came to Ace Starting Pitcher Jacob DeGrom and his health. 2021 meant a cause of concern and some notable absences for the former 2x CY Young Award winner.
What’s great about all this delay in an agreement between the two parties that’s preventing baseball operations from resuming? Jacob DeGrom gets more time to recuperate and rest, when needed. DeGrom was being pushed back to playing when not needed to save what was an already lost 2021 for host New York. It caused some notable strain and prevented DeGrom from fully recovering from the ailment.
DeGrom looks to put up solid numbers in 2022. Here’s to hoping he reaches his goals and maintains his good health.
