The 2025 New York Mets will feature RF Juan Soto, 26, Pete Alonso, 30, and SS Francisco Lindor. Although this lineup may seem formidable on paper, the starting pitching remains potentially flawed. Here’s why the team could potentially suffer due to an incomplete part involving roster depth.
The starting pitching did gain somewhat of a boost due Sean Manaea however the team has questions surrounding SP Kodai Senga, 31.
Senga was shelved for the majority of the 2024 season, twice as a matter of fact. Despite being the ace of the staff, he has nasty stuff but staying on the field remains a drawback with him.
The rookies or sophomores all seemed to wow in 2024. From C Francisco Alvarez to 3B/DH Mark Vientos popping offensively, this team could see some stars regress. A potential dip in performance from Lindor and Soto are both very possible, as both respective seasons in 2024 could be hard to top, factually speaking.
A Mets fan is likely expecting a playoff appearance, but I’m still defending my stance on that Rome wasn’t built in a day. Dynasties are built over time. I cannot put enough emphasis on how much it kills me to read my commenters saying “I expected better of this team,” year after year.
I for one have learned to lower my expectations and be thankful for the good and not get too ahead of myself myself under any circumstances.
You can be a die hard fan while only focusing on the major milestones without viewing deep contention as a possibility. I love and put the emphasis on love Pete Alonso in the home run derby, as the passion and energy he displays is simply an unspoken type of high. When he is silent and focused in the clubhouse focused on giving this team a good name and going out, putting on a show, you can’t put a price on that. The love and smiles of Francisco Lindor is enough to say, this is OUR shortstop.
Me? I’m going to turn this into a Mets/Food and beverage blog. I’m going to a game this year so PLEASE comment your favorite restaurant and bar at the stadium so that I can take a photo and review it!
This time, I’m eating Le Slice Pizzeria in Central Islip, a margarita slice selection and an extra cheese slice. It’s incredible! The bruschetta coupled with the basaltic on mozzarella and pesto makes a luxurious combination that your taste buds can savor. I am enjoying a Red Bull energy drink, bought from my local store. Its distinct taste leaves you energized and ready to accomplish whatever curveballs life throws at you.
The song I’m listening to while making this blog post is Samantha Mumba, Gotta Tell You. I will provide the link in this blog post. Click here, for the YouTube video of her released in 2000.
Have a wonderful day!
