First Place Mets on a roll, despite constant rainouts

The first place New York Mets (not a typo) are playing their hardest despite not giving Ace starting pitcher Jacob DeGrom any run support in his nothing short of stellar outings. while DeGrom chose to focus on the home run he gave up while discussing the loss and matter, the Mets have a few stars who contribute big regardless of where they stand in the NL East standings. While Francisco Lindor and Marcus Stroman remain highly touted and valuable pieces to this New York team, the Mets also expect Noah Syndergaard to return to action in hopefully June or July no later than July. It’s unclear how Syndergaard will perform given his struggles and Tommy John surgery that sidelined him, but I personally think he will revert to his 2015 form if not a little more dominant. While Conforto struggles, its safe to say the Mets dark days look to be behind them. Watch out if you’re Atlanta, these red hot Mets might just end up taking the NL East this year despite the experts favored Braves!
