Bottom of the second… DeGrom desperately needs a grounder here Double play, but he struck out Fuentes… beautiful pitch… now up is Hilliard, 100mph fastball for a strike.. Jake MIGHT just be getting it together 0-2 another one catches the corner for a strike. And HE SWUNG through a fastball up and in, strike 3!! DeGrom settling in. Throwing hard, Nunez up, ball 1, DeGrom has fared nicely against the Rockies Career wise 1.25 ERA.. that’s one stat I had to include, Nunez hits a foul ball, 2-1 count, Nunez just gets a piece of that 2-2, DeGrom isn’t afraid to aggressively pitch to hitters, 2 on 2 out and Nunez stays alive with DeGrom topping out at 99-100mph.. Nunez whiffs on a slider, no score we head to the 3rd Mets up now I’ll be back with more later, let’s go Mets!!!!!!!!!!
