The Mets have a Lucchessi problem, and it’s getting bad

Joey Lucchessi, one of the new faces to come to Queens to relieve games, is now the proud owner of a horrific 7.71 ERA 1-2 with a -0.5 WAR. I mean, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that he’s not a very good pitcher as of late. To put it very nicely, he stinks.

Lucchessi must get it together for the sake of the New York Mets, the New York media, his obviously on the hot seat manager Luis Rojas, who I hate to say this, would not be missed if he were to get fired, as putting Lucchessi in the game during obviously bad timing was simply a head scratching move by Rojas.

The Mets have a Lucchessi problem. Luchessi throws a Churve, a half change up half curve, but it really isn’t of much use or good. I’m just here to tell you that he needs to throw strikes and get guys out. The New York media won’t go easy on you just because you’re new here. I hate to break it to you.
