NY Mets: Team expected to win big, 2023 is do or die now or never

One can only assume that if you spend a ton of money, the team will perform better. With New York Mets Owner Steve Cohen spending money on nearly every big name player on the market this off-season, there’s one risk that needs to be addressed.

There are 4 other teams, respectively, in the National League East division. While Cohen clearly doesn’t feel he has to check the price tag, the other teams have gone out and added to their teams, hence, the Phillies inked Shortstop Trea Turner to a mega deal recently.

It’s an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth even in New York alone. The Yankees signed their guy in Aaron Judge and various other guys who look promising.

These 2023 Mets are expected to go big or go home. Nothing but the best at bats, making the opposing pitchers work the count, battling through the innings. It’s not going to be an easy task to win nor reach the World Series; sometimes you just get outmatched and outplayed.

They can’t afford to have the historic collapse nor bats go silent in September or late October.

It’s so or die. We’re talking big money here, gotta show up, get the job done, and give the fans what they rightfully deserve.
