The 2023 New York Mets have every reason to be proud of star Shortstop Fransisco Lindor. He’s had a monster year, hitting 31 home runs and 98 RBIs, batting .254 and wowing with a .336 OBP.
Lindor clearly just keeps getting better as the years go by in New York, as his 2022 was great. He hit 26 home runs, 107 RBIs, batted .270 with a .339 OBP.
His fielding has been amazing, as Lindor impressed many with his ability to make spectacular plays look routine, all while mostly staying healthy and productive year round.

And yet, the 2023 NL Gold Glove award went to the Chicago Cubs’ shortstop Dansby Swanson.
Swanson, not a typo, is the winner of the 2023 National League Gold Glove, over Lindor.
Swanson hit 22 home runs, 80 RBIs, with a .244 batting average and a .744 OPS.
He had 11 errors in 2023 while Lindor also had 11. Yet, Lindor hit way better this season than the also 29 year old Swanson.
It’s safe to say that baseball just continues to hate the Mets. The league hates Steve Cohen while everyone who votes on these awards absolutely despises the Mets. I don’t understand it.
