NY Mets: It’s Time To Announce My Decision On Player Of The Month of September

This post is going to raise some eyebrows perhaps, maybe not, but I’m not going to not commemorate the achievements of the team as a whole. So here it goes.

In retrospect, this team was dead by June, if you could recall the infamous glove toss by Jorge Lopez, former Mets SP.

Shortstop Fransisco Lindor then proceeded to call a players only meeting, and shortly after proceeded to hit a 2 run blast, helping propel the team to winning.

Enter the Grimace era, and suddenly the team has won 7 straight ballgames. This is not a drill. A complete turnaround is here.

If we are speaking facts and statistically, this team has mathematically defied the odds, regardless of whether they actually do make the playoffs. This team has shown composure, resilience and perseverance in dark times.

If the odds are against you and all seems bleak, yet you still pull through to see to the end, you have an entire team full of winners.

So that’s why I put the emphasis on, in retrospect, these Mets had no chance in May or mid June.

Fransisco Lindor stepped up and said “hey guys, this is the problem, here let’s get it together.”

Then he proceeded to go all gas no brakes on offense.

I am a firm believer in all it takes is one person to speak up and lead with actions too.

His stats alone entered him into the MVP conversation, but, congratulations Fransisco Lindor, you are deserving of this month’s winning nomination.

But wait! There’s another nomination and winner!

Rookie Mets Manager Carlos Mendoza. Your hard work and solid work ethic speaks volumes on what a blessing you are in Queens. Keep doing everything that you do!
