April is always very kind to the New York Mets, who claimed first place last month with a ferocious start. The team capitalized on big performances from star first baseman Pete Alonso, SS Fransisco Lindor, and even some significant displays of power from $765 million dollar man Juan Soto, 26.
The team has started off sizzling but cooled off as of late. In second place, the Mets have scraped for wins, with several offensively gifted stars hitting slumps.
To say that stars such as SP Griffin Canning, 29, has done his job well, would be an understatement. Canning has turned in a solid 5-1 record, owning a sparkling 1.6 WAR and a 2.7 ERA.
A cold start to the year and hot finish would be typically ideal, noting the 2024 season in particular.
Categorized by a very somber April, May, and June, the team found optimal production in July raise more than the previous seasons.
It is perfectly within the timeframe for the team to mirror the season of last year’s.
Time will be the ultimate determining factor in what unravels.

I’m an avid fan of the Knicks, so same in a way, we’re on the same team ๐
What a great season! So proud of how they battled it out, regardless of the outcome of the series Iโm so proud of everyone of them. A job very well done!
