The 2025 New York Mets leave themselves short handed each time. The team simply causes the players, the fans, and the team franschise embarasment. Players leave not because of the money, they leave because of the environment.
If the Mets lose Pete Alonso, they have no one to blame but Steve Cohen. Cohen couldn’t see Alonso’s worth. He thought signing $765 million dollar man Juan Soto would make a difference.
Money can’t buy happiness.
Pete Alonso has every reason to want to leave. Will he too get millions and millions just to be somewhere he is miserable?
He deserves to be somewhere playing in the playoffs with those monster years he has each season.
The Mets waste careers. The Mets wake up and turn dreams slowly towards nightmares. The Mets make promises they can’t keep.
Pete, if you see this, from the bottom of my heart, abandoning us at our lowest would break all of our hearts, please I understand the team sucks, but, losing you would be the final straw for some of us. We already don’t want to watch or wear our Mets gear outside. I don’t know what else to say, and I’m the one blogging. But I get it….
