NY Mets: 4 Takeaways from the first few games

It’s the first month of baseball, and I’m back with a few takeaways for you. As I sip my Starbucks iced coffee (it tastes great, by the way,) I will break it down in 4 key points.

Obviously the rain played a factor due to a few rainouts, but, the starting pitching is atrocious and the offense anemic.

Between stranding runners on base and giving up plenty of runs to the point of no escape, I couldn’t tell you but they are lucky to have that one win and be 1-4, let alone a team celebrating a normal base hit tells you all you need to know about this team.

So let’s get into it.

1. The team needs a wake up call.

2. It’s going to come at the expense of their players, because what else would the wake up call involve?

3. It gets worse before it gets better.

4. A win is a win, no matter what. Be happy.

Just saying. Keep this in mind as the doubleheader rages on.
