NY Mets: Sean Manaea Signed 3 Year Contract With Team, Here’s Why It’s A Huge Plus

The 2025 New York Mets needed pitching, and LHP Sean Manaea signing a 3 year $75 million dollar deal has provided the team with exactly that. Here’s why the deal is a huge plus for the team.

In 2024, Manaea went 12-6 with a 3.47 ERA, striking out 184 with a 1.08 WHIP.

He had a 3.0 WAR.

His arguably best season was 2021 with the Oakland Athletics, where he had a 3.2 WAR, 11-10 record, 3.91 ERA in 32 games started.

He struck out 194 batters that year.

The team rotation currently features David Peterson, Kodai Senga, Tylor Megill and Jośe Butto.

The team now sees a great chance of winning and quality performance when Manaea has the start.

This is overall a great and much needed signing by the Mets. Now to lock up First Baseman Pete Alonso, and handle unfinished business in the NL East in 2025.
