NY Mets: Brett Baty Continues To Turn Heads This Season

The 2024 New York Mets are very fortunate to have a group of youthful players such as Fransisco Alvarez and Ronny Mauricio on the team. While several young hopefuls remain bright spots for the team, one Met continues to shine bright and provide the spark. Here is what I said earlier about Baty, and more on what makes Baty so special to this team.

Baty, 24, simply was nothing short of disastrous last season. Last year, in 353 at bats, he hit 9 home runs, 34 RBIs with a .212 batting average and a .275 OBP.

However, this season, heโ€™s completely turned things around. Heโ€™s even improved defensively, opposed to last year when errors were a consistent part his game.

Baty is dazzling with 3 home runs and 13 batted in in 100 at bats, batting .270 with a .336 OBP.

The new approach Baty is taking offensively is a huge plus. Itโ€™s safe to say Baty is turning heads in the best way possible.
